Place Man Brisbane Premiere & Networking Drinks

December 14 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Fred Kent the Place Man

Invitation to attend the Brisbane premiere of short film ‘Place Man’, followed by a panel session and networking drinks.

See an exclusive screening of ‘Place Man, directed by Guillermo Bernal on Thursday 14 December from 6pm at Flying Colours, West End.

The critically acclaimed documentary explores the roots of the placemaking movement through the life of Fred Kent, who has devoted his life to creating public spaces for people. Fred shares his passion for understanding why people feel good and how that can be translated into designing public spaces that foster a sense of social connection and community.

There will also be a short panel and Q&A with some of Brisbane’s place experts and local representatives and candidates, exploring how citymaking in Brisbane can incorporate more of a placemaking approach, while breaking down silos and fostering collaboration. Speakers to be confirmed.

This event is your chance to connect with like-minded individuals in a relaxed and informal setting.

Tickets are free, but organisers ask you to please consider donating to the film-makers: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/placemaking-fund
