Have you wondered how you can make your life more sustainable? Do you want to respond positively to issues like climate change? Do you want to meet people who care about the earth like you do?
The Living Smart short course is a 4-week course that will inspire you to make sustainable changes in your own home with your family. The course is designed with the needs of participants in mind and includes topics such as reducing waste, living simply, saving power and water, sustainable gardening and more. This course is a shorter version of the full 7-week course.
This course will be facilitated by Gavin Hardy from Hearth Education. For 25 years Gav has been creating, teaching and writing in the areas of permaculture, environmental design and ecological sustainability, particularly in Brisbane and the sub-tropics. Gav is a qualified Living Smart facilitator and was trained by Shani Graham in Perth, WA.
Gav and his partner are personally committed to making their own lives more resilient and contented and their home – EcoFlat Brisbane – is a remarkable example of sustainable urban living.
Course components include cooperative learning opportunities, group activities, demonstrations, hands on activities, short talks, guest presentations, and outings.
