Dark Horse from Rouge CoffeeRouge Coffee cafe and roastery in South Brisbane was raided by police in the last hour as part of a state-wide drug bust aimed at the Bandido motorcycle gang.

Police allege that over $2 million woth of drugs have been seized in 18 separate raids across the state. One of  the owners of Rouge coffee is reported to have been arrested. Police will release details to the media shortly.

Rouge Coffee was famous for importing coffee from around the world, notably Colombia, Bolivia and other South and Central American nations. Two of their popular brews are named Dark Horse and Smooth Operator. Patrons and wholesale customers of Rouge Coffee are familliar with the sacks of coffee beans from around the world stacked up in the warehouse next to the cafe.

It may be that one Dark Horse among the Smooth Operators slipped something other than coffee into one of the hessian sacks. That could be a case of Rouge Coffee goes rogue. Details to follow.
