New life at South Brisbane Cemetery

Local community group the Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery will continue their successful 2017 comeback by hosting a family-friendly event at the historic cemetery this Sunday. ‘Graveyard Explorers’ will feature free history tours and Symbol Hunt activities for children, a sausage sizzle and children’s history books for sale. Gabba big winner of Westpac community grants

In Queensland, a total of 37 organisations have been awarded 2017 Westpac Foundation Community Grants, including quite a few over in Woolloongabba. These organisations are helping to improve the lives of youth at risk, victims of domestic violence, those suffering from mental health issues, Indigenous Australians and refugees creating a new life in Australia. Big crowds expected for West End Street Art Festival

The eclectic streets of West End are about to be transformed, with some of Brisbane’s most talented street artists set to showcase their work in the West End Street Art Festival on Sunday October 22. Each year at Christmas, with the help of our supporters, we provide opportunities for the people we work with to celebrate and enjoy the festive season. Last year we organised, packed and delivered over 500 food and fresh fruit hampers for the individuals and families we support.
