Vinyl, CDs, vintage clothing and coffee are now available under one roof in West End,  as Sunshine Coast favourite opens its first Brisbane store.

The new store is a collaboration between Revived Audio owner Martin Domonkos, who runs the popular Revived Audio shop on Bulcock Street in Caloundra, and Brisbane Vintage Market who have stores across the Sunshine Coast. Together they have built something brand new for West End: a space where pre-loved vinyl and CDs sit alongside vintage clothing and freshly made coffee.

“West End has always been a home for people who love music and love a good find, so it felt like the right place for us,” Domonkos said. “We wanted to create somewhere you can grab a coffee, flick through the racks and actually talk to people about what you’re listening to.”

Martin said physical media is enjoying a resurgence across every age group, driven by people wanting a more tactile connection with the music they love.

“People want to hold the record, read the liner notes and own something real,” he said. “They also want to be part of a community: swapping recommendations, showing off their collections and digging through the crates side by side.”

One of the biggest surprises this year has been the humble CD. Martin has noticed CDs are now outselling vinyl two to one in store.

“CDs are an affordable way to get your hands on physical music, so they’re really popular with young people and savvy buyers,” he said. “A lot of younger customers are discovering them for the first time.”

Domonkos spends much of his time sourcing stock, and customers regularly tell him how thrilled they are to find music that can be hard to track down at larger chain stores.

The classics remain strong sellers, with Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana always in demand. In store, Australian rock, hip hop and metal are the biggest-selling genres, while country music has seen a huge jump in popularity over the past two years.

“Whatever you’re into, there’s something in the racks for you, and if there isn’t, we’ll go looking for it,” he said.

While Revived Audio is all about the physical experience, shoppers can also browse an extensive range online at revivedaudio.com.au. Online orders can be picked up locally from the Caloundra store, with West End pickup coming soon. The West End store will trade seven days a week, from 6:30am to 5pm.

About Revived Audio
Revived Audio is an independent music store specialising in pre-loved and hard-to-find vinyl and CDs. Martin Domonkos founded the business in 2022 when a stint of long service leave turned into a complete career change, driven by his lifelong passion for music and vinyl. What started with a store on Bulcock Street, Caloundra, grew into its first Brisbane location at 209 Boundary Street, West End in October 2026, in partnership with Brisbane Vintage Market. Along the way, Revived Audio has run pop-up stores across the Sunshine Coast and regularly trades at select vintage markets. The West End store brings together vinyl, CDs, vintage clothing and coffee. Revived Audio is built on the belief that music is better when you can hold it, and it is a home for collectors and newcomers to swap recommendations and dig through the crates together.
