A line-up of Local Legends – 2014 winners with their awards
Local Councillor Helen Abrahams has announced that nominations are now open for the Local Legends Awards.
Now in its third year, the Local Legends Awards are all about celebrating people who deserve recognition for making a valuable contribution to our Southside community.
Do you know of an individual or group who merit recognition for the dedication and role they have played in helping to make our community more vibrant, safe, prosperous and creative? If so, be sure to submit a nomination by Friday, 9 October, 2015, and email it to Cr Abrahams’ new email address thegabba.ward@bcc.qld.gov.au
Nominations and awards are offered within the following categories:
Local Environment Award
Local Business Award
Youth Award
Creativity Award
The Westender Award
A celebration event to recognise the winners will be held on Saturday, 17 October. Be sure to mark your diaries to come along and celebrate those who make a difference in our community.
More details of the celebration event will come next month, so now is the time to send in your nominations.
