Southside Brisbane’s longest-serving kindergarten, C&K at 34 Corbett Street, will host its annual Music & Food Festival on Sunday 26th July from 10am till 1pm.
The festival, in its seventh year, has become a West End institution with more than 300 expected to enjoy local musicians, entertainment including face painting, craft stalls, raffle prizes and refreshments.
Entry is $5 per person or $10 per family and all are welcome.
All funds raised will go towards providing local children with the best standard in early childhood education and quality resources.
This year the festival will also include an enrolment booth for local families to find out more about the kindergarten programme and the benefits of choosing C&K Corbett Street, and applications will be taken on the day.
C&K West End Community Kindergarten at Corbett Street is the longest-serving kindergarten on Brisbane’s southside, having provided quality early childhood education for the past 103 years. It has the largest outdoor space of all West End kindergartens; was chosen as one of 40 kindergartens nationally to pilot a foreign language (French) programme in 2015; has the only music curriculum delivered by a qualified music teacher in West End; and has been shortlisted to host an Artist-in-Residence programme in late 2015. It is currently one of only seven out of 20 inner Brisbane kindergartens or pre-schools awarded the Exceeding National Quality Standards rating from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority – the national early childhood education and care services assessment body.
