Queensland acts on Stolen Wages

Queensland’s Stolen Wages Reparations Scheme Taskforce is calling for public submissions ahead of its inaugural meeting in Cairns on Thursday 24 September. Speaking at the launch of the Human Rights for Queensland Campaign on Friday night, the Attorney General has announced that the Queensland Government will “hold a parliamentary inquiry into the issue of a Human Rights Act for Queensland in this term of government.” The Deputy Premier called on the community to make sure that their voices are heard in this process.
