5 m water rat for Kurilpa Derby

West End artist Dana Hain is fulfilling an artist vision to create GURIL, an ongoing monument for the 2017 Kurilpa Derby. Guril, a mobile, mega-sized, water rat sculpture, will join the Boundary Street parade at the 10th anniversary Kurilpa Derby at 1:30pm, Sunday 5 November. At over five metres long, Guril will enlist a team of volunteers to pull it by hand during West End’s Kurilpa Derby. Universities across Australia are installing greenwalls in an attempt to increase concentration levels and the wellbeing of campus communities.
